Q: Tell us about yourself.

I'm a Korean artist based in New York City, known for my emotionally expressive paintings. Using cartoonistic four-fingered hands and vibrant colors, I capture the complexity of human emotions. Inspired by the need for comfort during challenging times, I chose hands as communication symbols, reflecting our universal reliance on them besides our voices. My art is a journey through emotions, acknowledging life's inevitable changes. I believe that every human experiences a bit of sadness as nothing stays the same. Through my work, I aim to shape these emotions while providing comfort and consolation.

I hold an MA from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and a BFA from the School of Visual Arts (SVA). Along the way, I've had the opportunity to take part in various shows, fairs, and auctions in locations such as New York, New Jersey, and Seoul, Korea.

Q: What differentiates you and your work from others?

I love to title my work with emojis also instead of confining myself to specific mediums, I prioritize ideas over materials in my art. I explore various materials to bring my concepts to life. What sets me apart is my passion for collaboration, whether with fellow artists, designers, or brands.  I want my art to exist in people's everyday life closely.
