Q1: Tell us about yourself.
I am a jewelry designer living and working in Seoul, South Korea. I loved making things and craft jewelry when I was little that made me decide to study jewelry design. I graduated from Academy of Arts University where I majored in jewelry and metal arts, and my time working as a jewelry designer in NYC let me experiment with these two, which eventually led me to start my own jewelry business in Korea. Although I’m originally from South Korea and I’ve spent most of my 20’s in the states including San Francisco and New York and I definitely consider New York as my second home, where I visit at least twice a year!
Q2: What differentiates you and your work from others?
I'd like to think that the theme of my collection is "Modern Vintage". All my collections are inspired by art, nature, and objects - anything, flowers in a field, and a museum if there's an interesting art. I sketch rough ideas and refine the best of those and put them into work. I like to create designs that make women feel elegant, feminine, and classy. Also, all of my pieces are comfortable and practical so that everyone can wear my jewelry. It's designed to be worn every day with everything. I wish to make long-lasting pieces that are timeless.
